STREAM  Youth Court  Drug Free Community
Service learning Through Recreation, Education And Mentoring A voluntary alternative to the traditional justice system for young people who commit misdemeanors Representives from all sectors of our communities identified challenges and opportunities to reduce substance use.  They identified the following work-group projects
Weekly middle school students meet with adult mentors to explore environmental issues!

Students go on field trips and participate in ongoing environmental service learning projects! 

A model of collaboration among schools, Watershed Task Forces, Finger Lakes Community and Hobart and William Smith Colleges!
Intervenes early in anti-social or delinquent behaviors!
Youth try, defend, prosecute, and sentence other youth!

Promotes knowledge of the justice and legal system!

 

 Promotes youth accountability and responsibility to society through community service and educational sentencing!
